Recently, the Cross-Organization Collaborative 5G + Smarter Learning Application Pilot project led by HEU was selected as the 2021 5G + Smarter Learning application pilot project. It was jointly released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Education.

HEU will give full play to the features of the 5G network, such as wide coverage, high capacity, low latency, and broad connection. Aiming at the three core issues: teaching improvement, the sharing of high-quality resources, and campus smart management, HEU will intensely explore the application of 5G private network into campus IOT, digital teaching, and management.

HEU will then launch a comprehensive 5G smart campus solution. HEU will form a application model and explore scalable and effective innovative paths in the fields of large-scale international school running. HEU will also develop deep integration of the school-enterprise-industry-university-research, and school expansion and development in multiple places.

The 5G + Smarter Learning pilot project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Education aims to excavate and cultivate a number of typical applications of the new generation of information and communication technology represented by 5G. The two ministries set replicable and scalable development models to promote the construction of 5G-empowered high-quality education system from points to areas. A total of 1,244 application projects were submitted nationwide. HEU took the lead by applying for 4 integration projects, including 5G+ interactive teaching, intelligent examination, comprehensive evaluation, and smart campus. After independent declaration, local recommendation and expert review, Cross-Organization Collaborative 5G + Smarter Learning became one of the first batch of 109 projects in the country to be shortlisted for pilot projects.
