Recently, the 4th Annual National Blended Teaching Design Innovation Competition came to an end. The Hydrodynamics of Shipping and Marine Engineering, lectured by Professor Ni Baoyu from the College of Shipbuilding Engineering of HEU, won the grand prize.

The 4th Annual National Blended Teaching Design Innovation Competition was sponsored by Tsinghua University and co-organized by more than 20 units including the Online Education Research Center of the Ministry of Education. It adheres to the principle of “promoting construction, application, and teaching methods by competition”. The competition is aimed at teachers or teaching teams who carry out blended teaching reform in colleges and universities across the country. It is committed to exploring and demonstrating the construction and implementation results of blended curriculum for teachers, so as to promote the informatization teaching ability of teachers.

Based on the A+ discipline of Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering in HEU, the teaching group of Hydrodynamics of Shipping and Marine Engineering inherits the fine tradition of in-depth combination of teaching and scientific research. It explores and forms an online and offline mixed course system for Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering and Marine Robotics, two “new engineering” disciplines. The heuristic teaching model of “interest-research-exploration” is put forward. Actively innovating assessment methods, and a series of blended teaching innovative design has won unanimous praise from experts and judges.
