On December 29, the 2nd Annual Academic Conference of Nuclear Reactor Thermal Fluid Mechanics Branch of Chinese Nuclear Society and the 2022 Annual Conference of the Sino-Nuclear Reactor Thermal Hydraulic Technology Key Laboratory and the Academic Exchange of the National Energy Pressurized Water Reactor Technology Research and Development (Experiment) Center was held in Harbin. The conference was co-sponsored by the Nuclear Reactor Hydrodynamics Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society, the Key Laboratory of Nuclear Reactor Thermal-hydraulic Technology of China Nuclear Reactor, the National Energy Pressurized Water Reactor Technology Research and Development (Experiment) Center, and HEU.

QIN Yukun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, HAN Duanfeng, Vice president of HEU, and more than 70 members attended the conference. 788 experts, scholars, teachers, and postgraduates from all over the country participated in the conference online and offline.

After more than 8 months of organization and preparation, the conference organized the release conference of NUMAP unified modeling software, 3 theme forums, 6 symposia and 10 exchange sessions. The conference received a total of more than 510 papers, and the number of participants reached a record high of 75.

The Conference is an annual academic exchange event in the field of nuclear energy and thermal fluid mechanics in China. It displays the latest research achievements in this field to domestic experts, scholars, and industry personnel. It exchanges new theories, methods, technologies, equipment, and industry trends, and forms a new model of cross-border cooperation between domestic industry, university, and research. The idea is to build a high-level platform for comprehensive cooperation and exchanges.
