On the afternoon of March 16th, Gao Yan, Secretary of HEU Party Committee, led a team to attend the launching ceremony of the joint cultivation of master and doctoral students at China International Engineering Consulting Corporation. The two sides held discussions on jointly establishing a system for cultivating world level, outstanding engineers, with Chinese characteristics. They also exchanged ideas on creating a platform for cultivating high-level strategic and compound talents. The two sides signed the "Agreement on Joint Cultivation of Master and Doctoral Students of China International Engineering Consulting Corporation and Harbin Engineering University".
Gou Husheng, Party Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of China International Engineering Consulting Corporation, Wang Yunpeng, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Beihang University, academician of the CAE, Jin Donghan, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Tianjin University, academician of the CAE, and Gao Yan, Secretary of HEU Party Committee attended the signing ceremony.
On behalf of HEU, Yan Rujian, member of the Standing Committee of HEU Party Committee and Vice President of HEU, signed the joint training agreement with China International Engineering Consulting Corporation.
Gao Yan briefly introduced the historical evolution of HEU and the characteristics of cultivating outstanding engineers. He said that HEU will give full play to the advantages in disciplinary characteristics and the cultivation of outstanding engineers and carry out the joint cultivation of master and doctoral students in engineering with China International Engineering Consulting Corporation to promote the continuous emergence of true achievements that help the development of the enterprise.
Gou Husheng extended welcome to all the guests. He said that the direction of the construction of the College of Excellent Engineers of China International Engineering Consulting Corporation is to cultivate excellent decision-making consulting talents for the government and industry and provide intellectual support for the corporation to build itself into a national high-end think tank and a world-class consulting institution. The Corporation will take the opportunity of this joint cultivation of master and doctoral students to accelerate the forging of a strategic and versatile talent team.
