On April 12, Luo Xisheng, director of Institute of Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Liu Xiaoming, director of Education Department of Institute of Mechanics, Zhou Jifu, director of Fluid Mechanics Committee of Chinese Society of Mechanics, Wang Shizhao, deputy director of State Key Laboratory of Nonlinear Mechanics, came to HEU to conduct research on personnel training and scientific research cooperation. Yin Jingwei, vice president of HEU, Mr. Wu Linzhi, vice chairman of the Academic Committee of HEU attended the discussion. Zhang Aman, secretary general of the Science and Technology Association, presided over the discussion.

Yin Jingwei, on behalf of HEU, extended a warm welcome to the delegations of the Institute of Mechanics. He reviewed and affirmed the cooperation between the two sides in personnel training and scientific research, and hoped that the two sides could further exchange and connect in the integration of science and education in the future, so as to seek broader prospects for cooperation.

Luo Xisheng hoped that the two sides would further develop the cooperation in the field of mechanics professionals and frontier scientific research in the field of marine engineering. He suggested that the two sides build a “Yonghuai mechanics class”, exchange tutors, jointly establish cross-research teams, set up specialized classes, and designate contact people to promote the cooperation between the two sides.

Zhou Jifu affirmed the achievements of HEU in the research of fluid mechanics and its important role in the field of hydrodynamics. He also discussed the relevant preparations for the 13th National Fluid Mechanics Conference to be held by HEU in 2024.
