The 2022-2023 National Acoustics Conference was held on July 6th at HEU's Qihang Theater. Nearly a thousand experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and acoustic enterprises attended the conference. The main focus of the conference was to promote the integration and exchange of all fields of acoustics, including industry, education, research, and application. Participants engaged in academic exchanges and discussions on various topics, such as acoustic research, acoustic industry, and acoustic education.

The Acoustics Society of China hosted the conference, which was organized by Harbin Engineering University. Vice President YIN Jingwei, Secretary of the Party Committee of Heilongjiang Association for Science and Technology ZHANG Xiaoyan, and Chairman of the Acoustics Society of China LI Fenghua attended the conference and delivered opening speeches.

Distinguished guests included ZHANG Renhe, a CAS academician, YANG Shie, a CAE academician, YAND Desen, also a CAE academician, and TIAN Jing, the sixth and seventh Chairman of the Acoustics Society of China. YANG Jun, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Acoustics Society of China, presided over the meeting.

In his speech, YIN Jingwei briefly introduced the historical development, education level, and ownership of HEU. He mentioned that this year marks the 70th anniversary of HEU's founding and emphasized that the conference was an important part of the "academic celebration." He expressed his hope that the attendees would generate new ideas, gain new understanding, and develop new ways of thinking through thorough discussions and exchanges. He also encouraged everyone to collaborate in solving major scientific problems and achieving fruitful results in the development of acoustic technology.

Furthermore, YIN Jingwei stated that HEU would seize the opportunity of hosting this conference to meet the country's and industry's needs. They would leverage their disciplinary advantages, focus on technological advancements and key fields, and promote the integration of industry and education as well as science and education. HEU aims to make significant contributions to the development of China's acoustic industry.

The conference lasted for three days and featured various events, including the "Conference Exhibition Competition" and nine special forums covering topics such as "Peaceful China," "Underwater Acoustics," "Medical and Industrial Intersection, Integration, and Innovation," and "Ultrasonic Transducers." Additionally, four characteristic forums were held, including key laboratory exchanges and sessions for young scholars. The conference encompassed not only academic reports but also the 5th Acoustic Science Popularization Exhibition, Acoustic Application Research and Design Competition, and Enterprise Achievement Exhibition.
