From August 30th to 31st, the Graduate Supervisor Seminar of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited took place at HEU. This seminar, organized by the China Ship Research and Development Academy and hosted by Harbin Engineering University, encompassed various components, including the Graduate Supervisor Seminar of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited and collaborative supervisor team-building activities. Its purpose was to share experiences and methodologies for nurturing industry-leading talent.
At the opening ceremony of the seminar, SHI Yong, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the 703rd Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, and YU Zhiwen, Vice President of Harbin Engineering University, delivered speeches. TAN Jiubin, an academician of the CAE and professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, YANG Desen, an academician of the CAE and professor at Harbin Engineering University, LIU Zhigang, former president and professor of Harbin Engineering University, YIN Jingwei, Vice President of Harbin Engineering University, CHANG Shan, discipline leader and researcher at the 703rd Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, and CAO Yukun, professor at Northeast Forestry University, attended the seminar and presented special reports. XIA Ying, Director of the Degree Office of the China Ship Research and Development Academy, served as the host.
During his address, YU Zhiwen emphasized the longstanding and profound cooperation between the two parties in talent development and technological innovation. He expressed his hope that this seminar would further strengthen their collaboration in both depth and breadth, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of mutually beneficial outcomes. YU Zhiwen also underscored the essential role of educational institutions and enterprises in serving national major strategies, economic and social development, and national defense requirements.
YIN Jingwei presented a report on the scientific research endeavors of Harbin Engineering University. In his speech, he reflected on the significant contributions of the university to major national strategies and scientific research initiatives. YIN Jingwei offered a comprehensive explanation of the university's current research direction and elaborated on the potential for cooperation between the institution and China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited. He expressed his desire for both sides to strengthen collaboration in areas such as integrating science and education, merging industry and education, and enhancing supervisor team development.
