On September 13th, a delegation led by Sun Zhiyong, a director at the State Development and Investment Corp., visited HEU for research purposes. GAO Yan, HEU’s Party Secretary, greeted SUN Zhiyong and his delegation in the VIP room of the main building, while YIN Jingwei, HEU's Vice President, presided over the symposium.

GAO Yan extended a warm welcome on behalf of the school and emphasized President Xi Jinping’s recent inspection of HEU. During the inspection, President Xi stressed the importance of Harbin Engineering University maintaining the esteemed traditions of the PLA Military Institute of Engineering. He underscored the university's commitment to aligning with the needs of a strong nation and a robust military, with a primary focus on education, technology, and talent development.

YIN Jingwei expressed a desire for practical cooperation and collaborative innovation, aiming for a new win-win partnership. The goal was to embark on new explorations and create fresh experiences to contribute to building a nation with universal education, advanced technology, and exceptional talent.

SUN Zhiyong provided a detailed overview of the State Development and Investment Corp.'s development. He highlighted the importance of cooperation with Harbin Engineering University in areas such as the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the selection of outstanding talents, and joint talent training. He emphasized the need to explore innovative cooperation models and promote the high-quality development of the regional economy in Heilongjiang province.
