On September 23rd, the 6th HEU International Cultural Festival took place at the South Stadium, with Vice President YU Zhiwen in attendance at the opening ceremony. More than 800 international and Chinese students from over 70 countries across five continents gathered to celebrate this global cultural extravaganza featuring cuisine, dance, and cultural experiences from around the world.

During his speech, YU Zhiwen emphasized that HEU, as a national "Double First Class" construction university with a rich history and illustrious traditions, always maintains a strong foundation in China while embracing a global perspective and pursuing a global development strategy. HEU has been proactive in expanding its exchanges and collaborations with countries worldwide, fostering strong and enduring partnerships with more than 100 educational institutions, research centers, international organizations, and businesses across 25 countries.

Following the speech, the electrifying Turkmenistan dance marked the beginning of the Cultural Festival's stage performances. International students from HEU and other universities showcased a diverse range of activities. The performances seamlessly blended the island vibes of Oceania, the vibrant and unrestrained atmosphere of Southeast Asia, and the colorful rainbow-themed attire of China, transforming the festival into a miniature 'World Expo.'
