On September 28, Yu Zhiwen, the vice president of HEU, hosted a meeting with president Barzenova Natalia and vice president Bogachenko Natalia of Sholom-Aleichem Priamursky State University. The meeting took place in the VIP reception room on the fourth floor of Qihang activity centre and revolved around various topics.

Yu Zhiwen extended a warm welcome to the visitors on behalf of HEU. He emphasized HEU’s enduring commitment to fostering collaboration with Russian institutions, forging enduring and stable partnerships with several Russian universities, and establishing a China-Russia joint laboratory on polar technology and equipment. Yu expressed his hope for extensive exchanges between China and Russia in diverse fields, including the humanities and social sciences, and the continuous strengthening of cooperation in science, technology, and talent development between the two nations.

Barzenova Natalia provided an overview of Sholom-Aleichem Priamursky State University’s overall development. She also highlighted the Ice Technology Laboratory of Sholom-Aleichem Priamursky State University, one of Russia’s three major Ice Technology Laboratories. At the same time, She expressed hope for collaboration between the two universities in scientific research, talent development, and faculty exchanges, particularly in the realm of ice mechanics research and related engineering applications.
