On the afternoon of October 16th, a delegation from National Dong Hwa University, led by Vice President MA Yuanrong, paid a visit to HEU. Vice President YU Zhiwen of HEU hosted the meeting in the VIP reception room on the eighth floor of the main building.
YU Zhiwen warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and provided a brief overview of HEU's academic disciplines, educational features, and collaborations with institutions in Taiwan. He emphasized HEU's commitment to cross-strait cooperation and highlighted the areas of mutual interest for collaboration between the two universities. He expressed the hope that the meeting would serve as an opportunity to explore and develop enriching collaborative projects between the institutions.
MA Yuanrong introduced an overview of Donghua University's development, its distinctive colleges, and its collaborations with universities in mainland China. He expressed the desire to leverage the strengths and characteristics of each institution to facilitate extensive exchanges among young students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, contributing to the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.
Both parties engaged in extensive discussions regarding the signing of inter-university cooperation agreements and various forms of student and teacher exchange programs. They expressed their shared aspiration to establish a long-term and stable inter-university cooperation relationship, fostering substantive collaboration between students and faculty from both sides of the strait.
