On December 12th, a three-member delegation from DNV (China) Limited, including Øyvind Pettersen, Vice President and General Manager of Technical Centre China, and LIU Xiaofeng, Director of China Maritime Intelligence Center and Deputy General Manager of Technical Centre China, visited HEU for research purposes. YIN Jingwei, Vice President of HEU, attended the symposium.

YIN Jingwei warmly welcomed Øyvind Pettersen's visit to HEU, expressing sincere gratitude for DNV's attention and support to the university. He highlighted that as early as 2006, DNV signed a scholarship agreement with HEU, establishing scholarships that reflect DNV's high regard for talent development in the maritime field. He looks forward to further cooperation between the two parties in cutting-edge technology areas such as smart maritime solutions and green new energy technologies, aiming to make greater contributions to the development of the maritime industry.

Øyvind Pettersen expressed gratitude for HEU's contribution of outstanding talents to DNV, emphasizing that DNV has always attached great importance to collaboration with outstanding Chinese universities in the maritime field. He hopes that both sides can deepen cooperation in Joint Industry Projects (JIPs), talent development, and other aspects, jointly promoting progress in the maritime industry. Øyvind Pettersen presented scholarship certificates to seven students who received awards in 2023 and took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
