On December 19, 2023, the He Liang He Li Foundation Award Ceremony took place at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. Professor ZHANG Arman from the College of Shipbuilding Engineering received the "Science and Technology Innovation Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation," while LIU Qingyu, a 1985 alumnus and CAE Member academician, was honored with the "Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation."

Professor Zhang, a doctoral supervisor, specializes in the dynamics of underwater bubbles and fluid structure coupling dynamics. His achievements include formulating the Unified Equation of Bubbles, introducing a theoretical model and method for underwater gas-liquid-solid coupling dynamics, and spearheading the development of the FSLAB basic industrial software for underwater fluid-solid coupling. Additionally, he established a large-scale underwater bubble test facility and pioneered a novel technology for efficient energy transfer of underwater bubbles. These research endeavors find practical applications in areas such as ship mechanics design and deep-sea exploration.

Dr. LIU Qingyu, a doctoral supervisor and CAE academician, graduated from Harbin Engineering University (formerly Harbin Institute of Shipbuilding Engineering) in 1989. In 2023, he was elected as an academician of the CAE, further solidifying his contributions to the field.
