The first domestically produced large cruise ship courageously sailed through wind and waves, resembling a crouching tiger on green eaves and blue tiles, creating ripples in the play of light and shadow. The intriguing blank spaces inside beckoned contemplation.....

On both sides of the Gongxue Bridge and the main building square, the primary snow sculpture of the 16th International College Students Snow Sculpture Competition in 2024 made a striking debut, heralding the grand opening of the upcoming HEU Ice and Snow Carnival.

After three days of meticulous carving, eight teachers and students from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering collaborated to complete this central snow sculpture (12 meters × 4 meters). Featuring boat and sea characteristics, it encapsulates the fine traditions of the PLA Military Institute of Engineering, transformed into an artistic masterpiece, eagerly awaiting guests from around the world.

Within the HEU campus, white snow cubes are already "prepared," anticipating skilled craftsmen from across the globe to unveil the "blind boxes" of these snow sculptures.

The mascot "Tuan Tuan" of the International College Students Snow Sculpture Competition is also making its scheduled appearance!

As the year draws to a close and the new year approaches, this winter, HEU offers not only a snow sculpture competition but also a series of thrilling activities.

HEU warmly invites college students from around the world to explore Ice City and partake in the ice and snow feast: creating a "pearl" on the playground, engaging in a snow football match, participating in a snow relay match, welcoming Winter Olympics champions to the Campus New Year's Market, and celebrating the New Year's Eve of ice and snow.
