Launch of the 'Underwater Acoustic 99 Innovation Fund Project

On December 29th, the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering (HEU) hosted a collective donation ceremony for its 1999 alumni and the establishment ceremony of the "Underwater Acoustic 99 Innovation Fund Project" at the Underwater Acoustic Building. Vice Principals HAN Duanfeng and YIN Jingwei were present at the ceremony.

The "Underwater Acoustic 99 Innovation Fund Project" is affiliated with the Underwater Acoustic Education Fund of HEU Education Development Foundation and was initiated by the 1999 alumni of the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering. Donors also include alumni from the class of 2003, individuals from various sectors of society, companies, enterprises, and public institutions, contributing to a total fund of 700,000 yuan. The project aims to celebrate the 70th anniversary and support teaching, scientific research, student growth, innovation and entrepreneurship, and the internationalization of the College. Additionally, it strives to promote the development of underwater acoustic education.

During the ceremony, guests unveiled the "Underwater Acoustic 99 Innovation Fund Project."

Representatives of the 1999 alumni made donations to HEU.

QIAO Gang, the Dean of the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering, expressed gratitude and delivered a speech on behalf of the College to the alumni.

XING Jianxin, a 1999 alumni and the General Manager of Beijing Hailan Acoustic Sensing Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech as the representative of the alumni. HAN Duanfeng presented donation certificates and commemorative plaques to the alumni representatives of each class, expressing gratitude to those who participated in the donation.

He emphasized that all alumni have consistently shown concern for the cause of underwater acoustic education and, with a spirit of dedication, continuously promoted the high-quality development of underwater acoustic education. HAN Duanfeng urged the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering to make effective use of the funds to encourage more students to develop into individuals of promise and responsibility.
