Following the review during the Presidential Meeting of the 2023 CAST Alliance for Aero-Engine Industry and Academy, the application from Harbin Engineering University to join the alliance has been approved. As of now, HEU is officially a member of the CAST Alliance for Aero-Engine Industry and Academy.

Initiated by the Aero Engine Corporation of China, the CAST Alliance for Aero-Engine Industry and Academy is a collaborative effort involving national societies, enterprises, universities, and research institutions. Its objective is to foster collaborative innovation and coordinated development in the realms of aviation engines and gas turbines in China.
