HEU Faculty Member Appointed as Associate Editor of Prestigious Maritime and Ocean Engineering Journal

Recently, at the invitation of the three editors-in-chief of the leading journal in the field of Maritime and Ocean Engineering, "Ocean Engineering," Associate Professor ZHOU Xueqian from the College of Shipbuilding Engineering has been appointed as the associate editor of the journal, effective January 2024.

"Ocean Engineering" is an internationally renowned journal in the field of Maritime and Ocean Engineering, published by the Dutch Elsevier group. With a rich history spanning over 50 years, the journal has earned a reputation for its high academic standards and is classified as a JCR Zone 1 and Chinese Academy of Sciences Zone 1 journal in the field of ocean engineering. It primarily publishes cutting-edge research in areas such as ocean engineering, naval architecture, polar engineering, marine system automation control, underwater technology, and ocean environmental engineering.

ZHOU Xueqian, a Ph.D. graduate from the University of Lisbon in Portugal, currently serves as an associate professor and Ph.D. supervisor in the School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. His research focuses on structural state perception and decision support in the field of Maritime and Ocean Engineering.
