From April 21st to 27th, Vice President YU Zhiwen led a delegation to Portugal and the United Kingdom. The purpose was to negotiate and sign agreements with universities, including the University of Lisbon and the University of Aberdeen, aimed at deepening HEU's cooperation with Portuguese and British universities in education, technology, and talent development. These visits contributed to consolidating and expanding HEU's global partnerships.

On the 22nd and 23rd, YU Zhiwen and his team visited the University of Lisbon in Portugal. They held discussions with the University's President, Luís Ferreira, Vice President Joao Peixoto, and Academician Carlos Guedes Soares of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering. Following the meeting, both parties signed a cooperation agreement for joint doctoral degree programs in relevant fields.

During the 25th and 26th, the delegation visited the University of Aberdeen in the UK. Talks were conducted with Alan Speight, Vice President of the University of Aberdeen, and Ekaterina Pavlovskaia, Dean of the School of Engineering. Discussions highlighted the successful collaboration between the two universities, particularly in civil engineering cooperative education projects. Both sides agreed to enhance exchanges between faculty and students and to broaden cooperation in related fields. A renewal of the existing cooperation agreement was signed during the meeting. 

Additionally, YU Zhiwen and his delegation toured relevant laboratories at the University of Aberdeen and met with students jointly trained by HEU and the University of Aberdeen in the UK.

In addition to these visits, YU Zhiwen attended the Lisbon and Aberdeen branches of the Global Talents Exchange Conference.
