Experts and Scholars Convene to Explore Effects of Strong Dynamic Loading Underwater and Underground, Alongside Structural Protection Technology.

The 2024 Conference on Underwater and Underground Strong Dynamic Loading Effects and Structural Protection Technology took place in Wuning County, Jiangxi Province on May 12th. Leaders and experts from 26 universities and research institutions nationwide attended.

Vice President YIN Jingwei highlighted in his speech the significance of underwater strong dynamic loading, fluid-structure coupling effects, and underwater protection technology. These aspects pose crucial scientific challenges with substantial engineering applications, vital for national security and technological advancement. HEU will seize the opportunity to host this seminar and collaborate in exploring cutting-edge scientific issues and major engineering requirements related to underwater and underground strong dynamic loading, fluid-structure coupling effects, and structural protection technology. He expressed optimism that experts and scholars would collectively invigorate collaborative innovation at the conference, advancing disciplines and technological progress. This, in turn, would contribute significantly to expediting the emergence of new productive forces and enhancing new momentum for development.

Throughout the one-day conference, 10 experts and scholars delivered academic reports on the conference theme. Among them, Professor WANG Shiping from HEU presented an academic report titled "Advancements in Low-Frequency High-Pressure Bubble Seismic Source for Next Generation Deep Sea Exploration."
