On June 29th, the inaugural meeting of the Heilongjiang Institute of Engineers was held at HEU. Leaders from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, key universities, and enterprises in Heilongjiang Province gathered to witness the establishment of the institute, marking the beginning of a new era in engineering excellence for the province.
More than 60 leaders from affiliated universities in Heilongjiang Province and member units of the High-end Intelligent Equipment Industry-Education Integration Education Alliance attended the meeting. Among them were ZHANG Qixiang, Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Province; CHENG Shuang, Deputy Director of the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province; DONG Hongli, President of Northeast Petroleum University; WANG Gui, Vice President of Harbin Electric Corporation; and GAO Yan, Chairman of Harbin Electric Machinery Company Co., Ltd. GAO Yan, Secretary of the HEU Party Committee, also attended. President SONG Yingdong delivered a welcome speech, and Vice President YAN Rujian presided over the meeting.
During the event, ZHANG Qixiang and GAO Yan jointly unveiled the nameplate for the Heilongjiang Institute of Engineers.
SONG Yingdong emphasized that outstanding engineers play a crucial role in driving engineering innovation and advancing human civilization. He highlighted their importance in supporting China's path to modernization. HEU, committed to serving national needs and contributing to Heilongjiang's revitalization, has focused on the high-quality development and modernization of the province over the past three years through the Heilongjiang Institute of Engineers. By deeply integrating industry, education, and research, HEU has enhanced educational resources and provided strong momentum for accelerating comprehensive revitalization efforts across Heilongjiang.
CHENG Shuang, WANG Gui, WAN Shiyun (Chairman of the Labor Union of Northeast Light Alloy Co., Ltd.), and SONG Yingdong jointly lit the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the second Heilongjiang Industry-Education Integration Seminar. CHENG Shuang and GAO Yan were newly appointed alliance members and received letters of appointment.
