Both Gold and Silver Medals! HEU's E-Only "Double Stars" Shine at the World University Underwater Robot Competition!

On July 4th, the third World University Underwater Robot Competition concluded in Vladivostok, Russia, jointly organized by Harbin Engineering University, CSNAME, and the Russian Marinette Industry Association Robot Development Center. The competition featured three tracks: AUV, ROV, and Creative Concept. HEU's E-only Nebula and Star Soul teams clinched the gold and silver medals in the AUV track, respectively.

WANG Junli, Secretary General of CSNAME, delivered an address at the opening ceremony, highlighting the competition as a significant collaboration between China and Russia in education and technology. He expressed optimism that with joint efforts, the event would continue to grow in influence, fostering greater cross-cultural communication and friendship between participants from both countries.

ZHAO Yuxin, Assistant President of HEU, also spoke at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the competition's role in promoting exchanges in underwater intelligent equipment among global university students. He envisioned the event as a catalyst for innovation and mutual learning, aiming to strengthen scientific and cultural ties between Chinese and Russian youth.

Consul General PIAO Yangfan of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Vladivostok addressed the closing ceremony, underscoring the event's contribution to closer bilateral exchanges and cooperation in scientific and technological achievements between China and Russia.

The competition saw participation from 54 teams representing China, Russia, and other nations. Following intense competition, HEU's E-only Nebula and Star Soul teams secured the first and second place in the AUV track, with the team from Far Eastern Federal University of Russia taking third place.
