Secretary ZHEN Liang and President JIANG Bin from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Visit HEU for a Research Exchange

On July 3rd, Secretary ZHEN Liang and President JIANG Bin, accompanied by a 15-member delegation, visited HEU for a research exchange. GAO Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee of HEU, attended the symposium, which was chaired by President SONG Yingdong.

During the symposium, GAO Yan delivered a speech, emphasizing the "NUAA experience" from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He highlighted NUAA's successful integration of science and education, industry and education, and its strengths in discipline construction. GAO Yan suggested that HEU should carefully study and draw from these experiences to enhance their own development. He expressed optimism for deeper cooperation between the two universities, particularly in scientific research, talent development, and collaborative efforts in marine and aerospace endeavors, aiming to contribute to new industrial advancements.

As the moderator of the symposium, President SONG Yingdong welcomed Secretary ZHEN Liang and President JIANG Bin's visit, expressing gratitude for NUAA's ongoing support and assistance in HEU's development. He hoped that through more frequent and closer interactions, both universities could foster more practical cooperation.

During his address, Secretary ZHEN Liang described the two universities as akin to brothers, sharing similar educational levels, philosophies, and styles. He expressed a desire to deepen and broaden cooperation in genuine partnership.

President JIANG Bin, in his speech, acknowledged the close relationship between the two universities as sibling institutions under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. He expressed his admiration for HEU's significant contributions to the shipbuilding industry, marine equipment, ocean exploration, and nuclear energy applications (referred to as "SMON"). He conveyed his excitement for the research visit and looked forward to enhancing collaboration between the institutions.
