On August 12, BUMI Nusantara Jaya Ltd. of Indonesia donated $300,000 to our university's Education Development Foundation. The donation will be used to establish the "HEU - BUMI Nusantara Jaya Scholarship," aimed at supporting the university's global education initiatives.

HAN Duanfeng, Vice President of HEU; Carey Ticoalu, Director and General Manager of BUMI Nusantara Jaya Ltd. of Indonesia; and Mr. LU Liken, Vice General Manager, attended the ceremony.

Carey Ticoalu and HAN Duanfeng signed the donation agreement, after which HAN Duanfeng presented Carey Ticoalu with a donation certificate and a commemorative plaque.

HAN Duanfeng expressed his gratitude to BUMI Nusantara Jaya Ltd. and provided an overview of HEU's development history, educational strengths, global initiatives, and alumni relations. He emphasized the university's commitment to engaging with alumni both domestically and internationally, advancing the globalization of education, and cultivating international talent. HAN Duanfeng also highlighted the university's dedication to contributing to the development of a community with a shared future for humanity. He expressed hope that the "HEU - BUMI Nusantara Jaya Scholarship" would become a significant platform for promoting cultural exchange and talent development, helping to nurture more outstanding individuals.

Carey Ticoalu stated that establishing scholarships is a fundamental responsibility of entrepreneurs and part of their social duty. As an Indonesian entrepreneur, he expressed great satisfaction in establishing scholarships at Harbin Engineering University, as this initiative would provide more opportunities for students to learn and grow. He hoped that the "Harbin Engineering - Earth Glory Scholarship" would inspire a new generation of Chinese students to pursue their dreams and excel academically, ultimately helping them become future leaders who contribute to progress in China and beyond.
