HEU Hosts Seminar on Shangzhi City's 38-Kilometer Agricultural Industrial Belt Plan

On August 19th, a seminar on the development plan for the 38-kilometer characteristic agricultural industrial belt in Shangzhi City was held at HEU. During the meeting, HEU signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Shangzhi City to collaborate on establishing a demonstration base for characteristic agricultural industries.

The meeting was attended by CHEN Su, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Heilongjiang Province; SHEN Jia, President of the Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences; WANG Qian, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Heilongjiang Province; and LIU Haitao, Secretary of the Shangzhi Municipal Committee. HEU Party Committee Secretary GAO Yan and President SONG Yingdong were also in attendance, with Vice President YIN Jingwei presiding over the meeting.

GAO Yan stated that HEU will tailor smart agriculture solutions based on the unique agricultural characteristics and specific needs of Shangzhi City. These solutions will apply scientific and technological advancements to the development of Longwangmiao Village, promoting green, efficient, and sustainable agriculture. The goal is to create a replicable model for smart rural areas, fostering the growth of smart agriculture.

LIU Haitao noted that both parties have engaged in exchanges and cooperation to enhance local industries, expand the functions of research platforms, and translate scientific and technological achievements into practical applications, thereby empowering high-quality development through technology. He expressed hope that both sides can fully leverage their respective strengths, deepen communication and collaboration, and achieve mutual benefit and shared success.

SONG Yingdong and LIU Haitao signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of HEU and Shangzhi City.

During the meeting, participants reviewed reports on Shangzhi City's current situation and its agricultural technology and industry needs, as well as updates from the Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Harbin Engineering University's new agricultural productivity initiatives. They also discussed the development of Shangzhi City's 38-kilometer characteristic agricultural industrial belt and explored ways to further deepen their cooperation.
