On September 27, a promotion meeting for the integration of industry and education in the training of outstanding engineers was held in Beijing. During the meeting, the recipients of the "Outstanding School-Enterprise Mentor Team" award for the National Excellent Engineer Training Project were announced.

Academician YANG Desen, a member of the CAE and a professor in Underwater Acoustic Engineering at HEU, along with researcher HE Yuan'an, the chief expert at China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, were selected as the principal mentors for the "National Outstanding School-Enterprise Mentor Team."

Minister of Education HUAI Jinpeng presented the award to Academician YANG Desen.
