Vice President YU Zhiwen attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, emphasizing that the festival serves as a platform to showcase the beauty of multiculturalism and foster cross-cultural communication. He expressed hope that this event would enhance understanding, promote friendship, deepen cooperation, and create a positive environment for cultural exchange and mutual learning.

Officials from various supportive organizations, including the Foreign Affairs Office of the Heilongjiang Provincial Government, the Longjiang Drama Art Center, and Harbin Yuhong Elementary School, as well as representatives from over ten universities, such as Lanzhou University, Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Harbin Institute of Technology, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Beijing Institute of Technology, attended the opening ceremony.

The festival features 45 exhibition areas highlighting national characteristics and 10 areas showcasing Longjiang's intangible cultural heritage. Activities include stage performances, a "Bite of the World" food experience, and seal collecting from various countries.

The vibrant songs and dances from tropical Southeast Asia, the elegant and romantic European dances, and the traditional Chinese attire and feather costumes, along with performances by international students from various universities in China, transformed the event into a delightful and diverse mini "World Expo."

The handmade cuisine from international students added an unforgettable aroma to the festival. Craftsmen in the Longjiang Intangible Cultural Heritage exhibition area showcased numerous popular Longjiang handicrafts, bringing unexpected delights to the event.
