From October 31 to November 2, the 25th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education (CACIE) was held at the Beijing Conference Center. HEU Vice President YU Zhiwen attended the event, participated in various activities, and delivered a keynote speech at a sub-forum.
The conference began on the morning of October 31 with a plenary session. DING Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended the session and delivered the opening speech. Minister of Education HUAI Jinpeng also addressed the conference, while LIU Limin, President of the China Education Association for International Exchange, presided over the opening ceremony.
In the afternoon of October 31, LIU Limin, along with YANG Jun, Secretary General, and AN Yan, Deputy Secretary General of the China Education Association for International Exchange, welcomed over 300 representatives from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, and other countries. During the conference and certification ceremony, Vice President YU Zhiwen participated in the event and accepted the Certificate of Quality Certification for Studying in China on behalf of HEU.
During the special seminar session, YU Zhiwen was invited to give a keynote speech, in which he shared HEU's practical experiences and efforts in promoting global nuclear power talent development. He highlighted the role of the Chinese government’s Atomic Energy Scholarship Program in facilitating international student exchanges and enhancing the quality of education for foreign students in China.
HEU was first accredited as a pilot institution in 2017 and underwent a re-accreditation review in 2024, earning a B+ rating.
On the morning of November 1, YU Zhiwen also participated in the "International Forum on Sino-French Engineering Education in the Intelligent Era," where he introduced HEU’s history, educational characteristics, and its experience in training outstanding engineers through the Longjiang Engineers Institute.
Through its participation in CACIE, HEU has further enhanced its reputation in the field of international education. The university showcased its achievements in promoting the study of China, educating excellent engineers, and participating in global learning, discussions, and exchanges. This involvement has also strengthened HEU’s ability to adapt to international education policies and support the development of global educational collaboration.
