The "Innovative Cognition and Practice" course embodies the philosophy of "integrating courses and competitions, promoting teaching through competitions." Under XU Dexin's guidance, students have secured significant accolades, including three national awards, six provincial gold awards, and six silver awards in the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition through Huawei’s initiatives. In July 2024, XU Dexin collaborated with Huawei engineers to participate in the 4th National Teaching Innovation Contest, earning first prize in the industry-education integration track for Heilongjiang Province.
In partnership with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., XU Dexin led two collaborative education projects under the Ministry of Education’s industry-education integration initiative. Additionally, he contributed as a core member to two national education reform projects. One such project, the Ministry of Education’s New Engineering Research and Practice initiative, achieved an "excellent" evaluation and led to the establishment of a national virtual teaching and research lab for practical teaching reform. XU Dexin has also published two research papers in the CSSCI-indexed journal Higher Engineering Education Research and facilitated innovative educational practices recognized as exemplary by the Ministry of Education’s "National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center Stage Work Summary."
