On December 16th, SONG Yingdong, President of Harbin Engineering University (HEU), led a delegation to visit the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE). WANG Daquan, Director of the Center, was present to welcome the team.
During the visit, SONG Yingdong and WANG Daquan signed the "Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange and Harbin Engineering University," formalizing their collaboration.
WANG Daquan warmly welcomed SONG Yingdong and his delegation, offering a detailed overview of the Center's work in promoting overseas study services. He noted that, as a university under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, HEU boasts a strong legacy and "red heritage." WANG highlighted the significant potential for collaboration between the Center and HEU in areas such as international cooperative education, supporting national development through overseas studies, managing international students, and increasing the global influence of Chinese higher education. The Center expressed its commitment to leveraging its strengths to jointly foster the innovative development of China's higher education internationalization with HEU.
In turn, SONG Yingdong shared an overview of HEU's history, educational approach, and internationalization efforts. He emphasized that the signing of this strategic cooperation agreement marks a new chapter in HEU’s development, aiming to strengthen communication and cooperation with the Center. SONG expressed hope that the partnership would enhance HEU’s capacity for international education, promote the development of overseas studies, attract international students to China, and contribute to building a stronger educational framework in China.
Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the internationalization of universities, overseas study programs, talent acquisition, and the management of international students in China. They also explored the potential for future collaboration in these key areas.
