On December 31, HUANG Wei, General Manager of Harbin Electric Corporation (HEC), and his delegation visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) to discuss expanding their school-enterprise collaboration. President SONG Yingdong and Vice President YIN Jingwei participated in the meeting, where the two parties engaged in extensive discussions on advancing technological cooperation, talent development, and the industrialization of underwater equipment.
President SONG Yingdong warmly welcomed HUANG Wei and his delegation, expressing deep appreciation for HEC’s ongoing support of the university’s growth. He provided an overview of the university’s history, core strengths, and unique advantages.
SONG emphasized the long-standing partnership between HEU and HEC, particularly in talent development and research collaboration. This strong foundation has led to notable achievements in areas such as unmanned systems, power equipment, and marine engineering. He stressed their joint commitment to advancing the high-quality development of the marine intelligent equipment industry within the province. Looking ahead, SONG proposed building on this solid foundation to deepen communication and explore innovative solutions aligned with national strategic priorities. He called for enhanced cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, talent development, industry-academia integration, and the construction of value chains for marine intelligent equipment. SONG also highlighted the importance of innovating school-enterprise cooperation mechanisms, conducting organized scientific research, and providing targeted training for top-tier engineers.
HUANG Wei expressed his gratitude to HEU for its continued support and acknowledged the strong synergy between the two organizations in talent development, research innovation, and major equipment projects.
