On January 13th, HEU organized a work meeting for the Volunteer Expedition Ceremony in preparation for the 9th Asian Winter Games. Over 60 volunteers will be traveling to the event to assist with service operations. LI Rongsheng, Deputy Secretary of HEU's Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

In his address, LI Rongsheng emphasized that the 9th Asian Winter Games serves not only as a platform for athletic competition but also as an important venue for cultural exchange, fostering friendship, and promoting unity. He encouraged the volunteers to view their roles as a valuable opportunity to gain life experience, enhance their personal growth, and demonstrate responsibility through action. He urged them to embrace the challenge with dedication, represent the university with pride, and contribute to the success of the Asian Winter Games.

A representative from the participating colleges--the Dean of the School of Foreign Studies, also delivered speeches, sharing insights and fostering communication among the volunteers.

WEI Xuan, a 2022 master's student from the School of Foreign Studies and a representative of the volunteers, also spoke at the event.

During the meeting, LI Rongsheng presented flags to the volunteers and distributed care packages to show appreciation for their commitment.

Following the meeting, the volunteer coordinator provided an overview of the volunteer program for the Asian Winter Games and conducted a safety training session.

To fully support the successful hosting of the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025, HEU volunteers will be involved in on-site testing, job training, pre-competition preparations, and other activities at various competition venues in Harbin and Yabuli from January 13th onward.
