Leading Experts Collaborate to Elevate the Journal of Intelligent Systems

The editorial board re-election meeting of the Journal of Intelligent Systems was recently held in Beijing. Academician DAI Qionghai of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Editor-in-Chief of the journal, and Vice President ZHAO Yuxin attended the event and delivered speeches.

The meeting brought together CAE academicians, including Deputy Editors-in-Chief ZHAO Chunjiang and ZHENG Qinghua, as well as prominent scholars such as Professor MA Huadong from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Professor HU Dewen from the National University of Defense Technology, Professor XIA Guihua from Harbin Engineering University, and Professor ZHUANG Yueting from Zhejiang University. A total of 175 members of the newly appointed editorial board participated.

In his address, DAI Qionghai encouraged the new editorial board to remain committed to advancing the journal by publishing high-impact research and expanding its domestic and international influence. He emphasized the goal of establishing the Journal of Intelligent Systems as a premier academic publication representing China in the field of intelligent science.

ZHAO Yuxin reaffirmed Harbin Engineering University’s strong support for academic publishing, emphasizing that high-quality journal development is integral to disciplinary progress. He highlighted the university’s commitment to national strategic priorities and its guiding principle of “building a world-class platform and creating a high-quality journal.” Additionally, he underscored the implementation of the “First-Class Journal Enhancement Plan,” aimed at continuously improving the journal’s academic quality and impact.

The newly appointed editorial board of the Journal of Intelligent Systems comprises 313 members, including the Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editors-in-Chief, Section Editors, Editorial Board Members, and Young Editorial Board Members. Among them, 12 are academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and 106 are recipients of prestigious national talent programs.

The Journal of Intelligent Systems serves as the official publication of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and is jointly sponsored by Harbin Engineering University and CAAI. It has received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) five times and has earned multiple accolades, including recognition as one of the “Top 100 Science and Technology Journals of Chinese Universities” and the “Outstanding Journal Award” from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Additionally, the journal has been designated as an “A-Class Recommended Chinese Academic Journal” by CAAI, a distinction awarded to only six journals nationwide. Among 21 core Chinese journals in the field of information science, it ranks third in disciplinary impact and holds the top position in the Red Dot Index rankings.
