
On April 14, 2025, Harbin Engineering University (HEU) hosted the Nantong City Leaders’ Campus Visit and “Nantong Day” Job Fair at the Qihang Activity Center. Organized by the Nantong Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the event featured 35 prominent enterprises and public institutions from Nantong, offering more than 1,000 high-quality job opportunities to students. LI Rongsheng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC HEU Committee, and NI Chunqing, Member of the Standing Committee of the Nantong Municipal CPC Committee, attended the event.

LI Rongsheng, representing the university, expressed his gratitude to the Nantong Municipal Government. He highlighted the strong collaboration between HEU and Nantong through the HEU Yangtze River Delta Advanced Research Institute. This partnership has fostered advancements in scientific innovation, industrial development, and talent cultivation, particularly in ship equipment technologies and industrial innovation. LI encouraged students to explore Nantong’s talent policies, align job opportunities with their career goals, and take full advantage of this opportunity to secure desirable positions.

On behalf of the CPC Nantong Committee and the Nantong Municipal Government, NI Chunqing expressed appreciation to HEU for its continued support. He emphasized Nantong’s strategic location, importance, and rich cultural heritage, underscoring the city’s strong talent policies and supportive environment for both professional growth and quality of life. NI extended a warm invitation to young professionals to build their careers in Nantong and contribute to the city's development.

At the event, representatives from ZTT Group and Wison New Energies introduced their companies to students. Liu Enhui, a 2020 HEU graduate and current HR specialist at COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) in Nantong, shared insights into her career journey in the city. Additionally, nine HEU students originally from Nantong were awarded “Little Yangtze Porpoise” Talent Ambassador certificates.
Following the job fair, university and city leaders visited the recruitment booths to gain a deeper understanding of employers' talent needs and discuss potential opportunities with recruiters.
