Over 200 Experts and Scholars Gather to Discuss “New Quality Productive Forces and Management Innovation”

Recently, the 15th Youth Forum of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics was held at Harbin Engineering University (HEU). Centered on the theme of “New Quality Productive Forces and Management Innovation”, the forum brought together more than 200 experts and scholars from universities across the country. HEU Vice President YIN Jingwei met with participating experts. LI Rongsheng, Deputy Party Secretary of HEU, and TANG Ling, Chair of the Youth Working Committee of the Society, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

In his speech, LI Rongsheng expressed the hope that experts and young scholars would take the forum as an opportunity for in-depth exchange and discussion, contributing new perspectives and solutions to the development of new quality productive forces through both theoretical innovation and practical exploration. He also emphasized the forum’s role in injecting fresh vitality into the university’s discipline of Management Science and Engineering.

TANG Ling stated that the forum aims to foster rich and effective academic exchange among participants. He encouraged attendees to analyze current opportunities and challenges, anticipate future directions, and provide new ideas and solutions to promote economic and social development.

During the forum, Vice President YIN Jingwei met with the attending experts. He noted that the forum provides a valuable platform for academic interaction and exchange, and he expressed hope that experts will continue to support the university’s development by offering constructive suggestions for advancing the discipline of Management Science and Engineering, helping elevate the university’s economics and management programs to top-tier status.

Additionally, several invited experts participated in a special seminar on disciplinary development, hosted by the School of Economics and Management. They provided valuable insights and suggestions on key aspects, including discipline positioning, distinctive features, faculty development, and talent cultivation, thereby contributing to the ongoing advancement of the discipline.
