
On October 14, the 2025 Specialized Training on Digital Education for Directors of Education Departments was held at Harbin Engineering University (HEU). SHU Hua, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Science, Technology and Informatization of the Ministry of Education, YIN Jingwei, HEU President, CAO Diefeng, Deputy Director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education, YU Zhiwen, Vice President of HEU, and YANG Lin, Deputy General Manager of the Government and Enterprise Sector of China Mobile Communications Group, attended the opening ceremony. JIANG Xingzong, Deputy General Manager of China Mobile Communications Group Heilongjiang Co., Ltd., presided over the ceremony.

SHU Hua stated that digital education represents a crucial breakthrough for China to forge new pathways and build fresh advantages in educational development. She emphasized that local education departments, as leaders in regional education advancement, must proactively adapt to the deep integration of information technology and education. She urged them to effectively translate learning outcomes into new drivers for accelerating digital education development, thereby providing solid support for high-quality education.

YIN Jingwei briefly introduced the HEU’s practical explorations in its digital transformation. He indicated that the university would fully leverage its disciplinary strengths in information technology and artificial intelligence to advance educational modernization through digitalization. He expressed hope for building closer connections with education colleagues nationwide to jointly explore new paths for digital education and research new paradigms for educational development, contributing to national education initiatives.

CAO Diefeng noted that Heilongjiang Province is actively exploring digital education development paths suited to its local context and fully promoting the in-depth application of the National Smart Education Platform. He encouraged participants to actively share valuable opinions and suggestions during the training and exchanges, to help further advance the digital transformation of education in Heilongjiang Province.

YANG Lin expressed that China Mobile closely follows the nation’s digital development pace and continuously deepens collaboration with higher education institutions, supporting national education development through concrete actions. He stated that, under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, more resources and efforts would be dedicated to this cause in the future.
REN Changshan, Director of the Education Informatization and Cybersecurity Office within the Ministry of Education’s Department of Science, Technology and Informatization, delivered the opening report.
