The 2025 Basketball Tournament Series of Harbin Engineering University (HEU) has recently concluded with great success.
The final match of the “President’s Cup” Freshmen Basketball Tournament took place in the Competition Hall of the Gymnasium, where the freshmen teams of the College of Aerospace and Civil Engineering and the College of Computer Science and Technology faced off. After four intense quarters, the College of Computer Science and Technology secured the championship with a narrow 43–40 victory. Over the month-long tournament, 25 exciting games showcased the freshmen’s energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
The 2025 Faculty and Staff Basketball Tournament, themed “Show Teachers’ Demeanor, Compete in Basketball,” featured 35 fiercely contested matches. The Logistics Group claimed the championship, followed by the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering as runner-up. The Physical Education Department and the First Team of the University Party Committee shared third place. Throughout the tournament, teachers exemplified the sportsmanship of “Friendship First, Competition Second.”
As a major event within the “Autumn Cultural and Sports Festival,” the teachers-and-students basketball series was met with enthusiastic participation. YIN Jingwei, President of HEU, led a faculty team composed of representatives from the Department of Student Affairs, the Youth League Committee, and the Logistics Group in a friendly match against the freshmen team from the College of Computer Science and Technology, champions of the President’s Cup. The faculty team maintained control through steady coordination, while the students demonstrated youthful vigor and agility. The match concluded with the faculty team winning 53–45.
HEU consistently emphasizes the integration of physical education and moral education, building a diverse and dynamic system of campus cultural and sports activities. The university continues to provide meaningful platforms that strengthen communication, promote physical fitness, and foster a positive campus atmosphere for both teachers and students.
