College of Marxism originated from the Marxist Leninist Teaching and Research Office, one of the first to establish the ideological and political education specialty in China. The College has undergone nearly 70 years of development.
The college has 76 teaching staff and 66 full-time teachers, including 12 professors, 26 associate professors, 25 lecturers and 3 teaching assistants. Now the college has Department of Ideological and Political Education, Research and teaching Center of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Research and teaching Center of Marxism Fundamental Principles, Research and teaching Center of Mao Zedong Thought and Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Teaching and Research Center for Outline of Modern Chinese History, Teaching and Research Center for Ideological and Moral Education and Rule of Law, Teaching and Research Center for Situation and Policy.
In recent years, the teachers have published more than 160 academic papers in national important media, CSSCI source journals and core journals of Peking University, some of which have been reprinted by authoritative journals such as Xinhua Digest for many times, and more than 20 academic monographs have been published. It has won more than 10 National Social Science Fund Projects, more than 40 provincial and ministerial projects, the first prize of Heilongjiang teaching achievements, national first-class courses and other provincial and ministerial scientific research awards. The college has 1 key research base of humanities and social sciences in Heilongjiang Province and more than 6 million yuan has been allocated for scientific research.
